Yes, nearly being the operative word. I don't really see going from 2k to 3k as being any more of an achievement than going from 1k to 2k. Why not 5 pulses? Why not 7? How many will be too many?
There is no guarantee that you will achieve other than marginal improvement by trial and error. Everybody would prefer to solve things by direct mathematical methods, but you haven't got one.
If you really wanted a piece of equipment for testing, you'd have built it by now. There are just so many ways of getting what you want without going through this. Where's the benefit?
