Sunday sounds good. Let's ask Mark if that's a good day for him to bring a pair of his speakers.
I'm out and about, and generally busy soldering, can you organize the time and see if the others can come? I don't see any replies as of yet. My place is still open.
Is today the best day, would Sunday be any less good?mazurek said:I'm out and about, and generally busy soldering, can you organize the time and see if the others can come? I don't see any replies as of yet. My place is still open.
Anybody else interested in meeting at Lee's?

Sorry if I'm confused, I was thinking the 15th, then remembering the PE Tent sale is today. Either way is fine with me, let's see if anyone else is still interested in meeting up tomorrow. If this afternoon/evening did turn out to be a good time it would be fine with me also.
sorry, I didn't see the thread until now. Sunday is OK with me, I have already made plans for tonight.
Ok, then we just need to decide what time. Afternoon? I'm thinking of taking the kid to the zoo in the morning. If you guys tell us what time is good for you, then Lee can confirm, I'll come then...
Me Too!
Just found the thread and it sounds like fun.
I am an EE (I design electronic scales for Mettler-Toledo) and have worked quite a bit in Pro audio (church and live music production).
I relocated to Columbus last year and haven't really done much DIY stuff lately, but a local group sounds like fun, might get the creative juices flowing.
I've got a table saw, drill press, Beverly B3 shear (really big metal shear). I live in Minerva Park (South of 161, East of Cleveland Ave).
I have a big house with a huge rec room if meeting space is a problem. Just hope you don't mind boxes (we just moved into this house 1st of the month).
Let me know whats' going on.
Phil

Haldor,
Welcome! I'm up late soldering microphones... Going to bed now. Do you have any ideas about what your next projects might be? I'm sure some of us would be happy to bring some speakers to your house for listening. Hopefully we'll plan another meeting soon.

Phil, welcome to the group!
I work at Roxane Labs and we use a ton of your stuff. If I have any questions about the scales I'll know who to come after!

I heard somebody talking about it on the radio, about how that's where the dressings are from, but I don't remember if they said it's still around, other than that, haven't heard of it. Would have to search online to see if it's still there.
The restaurant I'm interested in trying is Kihachi, regarded by many as a world class restaurant, the best in Columbus, one of the best authentic Japanese restaurants in the US. The wife is from Japan, I'll bring her and see what she thinks, and she can read the menu for me.

I am thinking about a powered sub. Soldering mics, you wouldn't happen to be involved with live audio would you?

Hi,
Not a problem. A friend of mine used to work at Roxane. Did you ever meet a guy there named Joe Pinegar?

No ~ I recorded some high school band back in 1989, thought it came out well. I just can't get my measurment setup setup with the kid, school, etc... Couldn't afford to buy all the equip. so I figured I'd try to build whichever parts I could myself.
My neighbors are trying to "rap" on a cheap karaoke machine, I thought if they seem any good I'd record them to PC so we could mix it up. So far they can't seem to say much other than "motherf#@ker", "_____ nigga", and other "potty talk", if they can manage to think of something interesting to say then I'll talk to them.
