Original heatsink's Goldmund is small ! You check from website goldmund you can see original heatsink !I think heatsink's V2 too small. maybe it is not enough. V1 has big heating.

I make this amplifier according to the schematic of the Goldmund Telos
5000 amplifier
I try not changed much compared to the original design
Some positions do not find the original design of components, I
replaced the equivalent.
This is
1. Power Diode STTH 6102 = STTH 6002
2. Mosfet: 10N20 = 2SK2221
10P20 = 2SJ352
3. CCS: ADR445BRZ (5V + /-2mV) = AD586 (5V + /-2mV)
4. Not DAC, DAC original design
5. Stereo, the original design is BTL Monoblock
6. Volume relay 5 steps original design control by remote, I used
ALPS 27 - not remote,not CPU,...
Did you match the output MOSFETs?
Despite you don't have the thermal runway since the MOSFET has a positive thermal coefficient, however unmatched MOSFETs connected in parallel may causes current flowing in a particular cell much bigger than the others and that will be a source of distortion. Matching MOSFET is always a problem for DIYer since we can't buy hundreds of the transistor to sort out what we want.
You lot forget that the case of the Telos 1000 is the heatsink.

The heatsink is not connected to the case. Telos 1000 uses the same teflon spacers as used in the Telos 2500 and the same cut out in the back plate. Hope this helps.

The heatsink used is a Fischer SK56, a 6" length does ~0.35C/W (uncorrected).
Exterior surface of the heatsink is ~3000 square centimeters, the case has three times as much.
Given the power output of the Telos 1000, think how hot the heatsink would become if it were thermally isolated from the case.

Yes, the heatsink gets very hot. This is from MM 28. You can see the same solution, the heatsink is isolated from the case.

What do you call the yellow stuff ?
(each of the Allen bolts is a thermal bridge)
It is a copper plate mounted on the heatsink only. Not connected to the case. Same design is used in the Telos but different size.

You just simply can't use the cabinet as a heatsink. It's not technical but ergonomic and safety issues. Will you paid $$$$ for an amplifier that you can't put hand on it more than 20 seconds?

Goldmund can bump up the C/W number of the heatsink a little by using the back of the heatsink base plate as well for natural convection, but it will not be sufficient by a long shot to handle the average dissipation level of such a powerful amp.
Only way to get rid of that much heat is through the case, of which the Telos amps have plenty, both in air exposed surface and lbs, the Telos 1000 has at least 60lbs of aluminum in the panels alone.
Worst case max dissipation of a Class AB power amp can be as high as the nominal power figure in 8 ohm.
If the heatsink of a Telos 1000 would be totally isolated from the case, it could and would get hot enough to melt thermoplastics on it.
Not bragging, elementary thermodynamics for analog audio amplifiers.
(10 easily, even one twice as pricey as the Telos 1000)

How much dose it cost?
about $1k for all parts. is it worth ?
personally, I believe this is the best souding SS ampli I've heard comparing SS ampli the the market with the price under $4k.
