Audio Sector's kits...
The very 1st product (LM3875) for both companies was the same, developed togther. It all happened here on diyAudio.

Update: no reply to a ton of messages to chipamp. I guess he didn't respond to PayPal either because they just refunded my money.
Hopefully someone else takes over at chipamp so people can eventually continue to enjoy their kits again.

Is he running this business on behalf of Brian? IF so, maybe it would be wise to alert Brian to what has been going on.
Does anyone know how to contact Brian?

Same boat. I ordered two kits on 21st of May, no sign of them yet, order is still processing.

Just found this thread today - ordered 5/5 and still zero replies or answers to my emails 6 weeks later
I'm curious why he is ignoring your orders? Is he ignoring all orders or only yours? It's not a success recipe to ignoring your customers.
I have had nothing but VERY good contact and business with chipamp.com. It was run by BrianGT then. (couple of years ago)
Shameless advertising alert ! I have a few Audiosector/chipamp.com LM4780 kits (Premium so gold plated boards) and a few LM3875 kits left. Some completely stuffed, some lack some parts and there are also some unused unstuffed boards. Also some Amplimo toroids for these amplifiers. Send me a PM if you are interested. Made a few of these amplifiers mainly for others and they're quite OK.
Found them while I was renovating my house.

Yes, positive reviews, a solid connection to this forum and recent news posts (as opposed to audiosector and other vendors, that haven't updated their sites in years) made me order with them as well, but sadly Allan hasn't come true yet. I still hope for a satisfying resolution of this conflict, I really want to start building some amps 🙂
If not, is there a good alternative here in Europe? Specifically, in NL?
Check out JP's shameless plug. I also have a LM3875 fully stuffed pcb's lying about (used). In case JP cannot help you out.If not, is there a good alternative here in Europe? Specifically, in NL?
Not long ago I had Monitor Audio Silver 9 in my bedroom (sadly gave it to one of my kids) I could choose between my lm3875 and lm3886 amps built on chipamp.com pcbs..driven by a Hifiberry or Duriosound frontend...it was a very good sounding setup...very good...especially for the money.

JP, thanks for the offer. I'll get back to you when the paypal dispute clears.

FYI anybody who wants a 'simple' 3886 kit - tomchr is working on putting a LM3886 'Done Right' kit. We might have a chance of getting a kit without preamp/etc that is great quality and is actually likely to turn up.
Keep an eye over on the Chip Amp subforum for updates.

There are also My_Ref chipamp groupbuys...also chipamps done right. However it is a way more complex and expensive compared to the really simple chipamps. And I have not listened to the My_Ref yet...but the standard chipamps are well worth buying and building.
So yes...if your budget, time and knowledge extends to tomchr or My_ref's implementations..that is something to consider.

There have also been efforts on zelfbouwaudio forum on chipamps done right. But those group buys are over I think.. Worth asking on the that forum. If not, is there a good alternative here in Europe? Specifically, in NL?

No, on all counts 🙂
And I can't seem to join zelfbouwaudio.nl... The registration process is buggered, but thanks for the tips!
took a couple months but I got my order...no explanation, no communication, just showed up.
haven't built the LM3886 kits yet, but seemed accurate!
glad to have at least what I need for my concept units...(the ones for me to play through, this is the output part of a guitar amp!)
