The electrolytic SMD caps?!
Back to the subject. I happen to know something of fuses and (high power) breakers in both AC and DC high power applications and being an audio aficionado I always look twice to see a possible combination 🙂 Suffice to say only a fool buys such audiophile fuses. It is stuff for believers, disciples of the sector in this hobby where knowledge is traded for emotions. One tempers the rage of the soul confronted with ones own inadequate knowledge/abilities with short term satisfaction by obtaining stuff like this.
Often a complication found at employees of Spectrum Inc. that, as we know, often find a way in their particular way in technical hobbies. I once witnessed a situation where someone had read/learnt that low impedance was the key to better sound/performance. This person had build an industrial wall mount AC rail system in the living room!

Looked at your blog. I have a Mirage BPS-400 Bipolar sub that I use with my Martin Logan Sequel ESLs. I use a Mirage LFT-3 active cross over with these speakers. I get a nice flat room response with this set up.then its worth every penny
Did he/she just copied the Peter Belt site? Quantum outlets, cd pens to blacken the edge, ...Damn, they have whole collection of maximum-BS "tuning" components.

I find that quantum plug very attractive 🤓
On the plus side: That guy has a valid WEEE registration.
WWhat happens if the poor thing gets tasked with conducting AC current? Would it half wave rectify it?

^^ There's been a bit of a mash up in @egellings post.
His question has been incorporated into what "Galu said", while I am only responsible for the image in the attachment.

Maybe the quantum superposition can resolve this problem - the QFuse will be in both directions at the same time! The sucker who bought the fuse is supposed to flip it every 50/60 times a sec.
And in the next QFuse release, the +V QFuse will be entangled with -V QFuse for a perfect match. 🙂

As long as you don't make a measurement!

Don’t tell them THAT. The poor sucker will try to find a way to DO it.
Sawn-off potentiometer spindle 'fuses' are simply brilliant - 100% reliability record in my experience...
Since I once saw 2 non synchronous grids being coupled by an erroneous motor operated breaker I know that even copper bar can melt.
Agreed, however it must also be accepted that expectation bias is a very powerful psychological effect, and very real to the listener. Carrying out 'improvements' like this actually do improve their enjoyment of their systems - at a cost though...Suffice to say only a fool buys such audiophile fuses. The biggest downside as far as I see it is that nonsense like this can stifle scientific routes to genuine improvements in audio equipment.
Nick the Greeks been flogging these, for 200 a pop
Notice how he's carefully sanded one end more than the other, before wrapping them in vinyl flooring.
One reviewer thought them better value than interconnects

I'm going to guess these are ceramic. Wrapped to disguise the fact. Making the Chinese one's with there silver (coloured?) caps, and isle of white filling, an absolute steal. I mean.. robbery.

But after only 100 hours burn-in when "The fuse delivers a specially calibrated signal to the power supply...' you get a 'longer decay of cymbals...'.
'Expensive? Not really.'
A fool and his money...
Good for you, Custom Sonic - I wish I could devise a similarly legal method of separation idiots from their cash!

just a quick 5 cents from me....
tried the red ones from China (can't remember the name)....
on some power supplies i could here the difference, on some not and on some it was actually worse then with a classic "glass" fuses....
when i think about it, seems to me if the power supply is not so good, the will work in general... if the power supply is really well made, they will not.....
i would try it, they are not to expensive (not talking about "space" materials and stuff and also those crazy ones that cost an arm and a legg)....

Truthfully, do you believe that you could consistently identify audiophile fuses vs. glass/ceramic in controlled blind tests?on some power supplies i could here the difference
Look - this was my honnest opinion about the subject.... i stand behind what i said above and i could hear the difference without expecting anything to happen...
It was just "let's see what happens".....
.
And above, i am talking about cheap stuff from China, like the titoe of the thread said - not about those super special ones from Venus..... those i can't afford and imho, if you need those, better invest in some better gear.....
