Hi All !
re my post from page 70 on interference with DAB radio.
Thanks for your post's
I've made my circuit with a better solid ground and re-done output filter with a good result ,i also changed the AM avoidance to 600khz.
The result is good and i can now pick up a lot more stations
Hope this may help others how might have the same problem
THANKS ALL FOR A VERY GOOD SITE !!!!!

Tried diff driver, same thing, sucks it right in. Also tried two different input wires and devices, same. Between the outputs? If you mean speaker it's an overnight sensation two way, or an 8 ohm 4 inch driver, new. Try grounding the inputs? What and how for that? Thanks you very much for all this!
Strange thing. Grounding input is bridging the In+ to ground so no input sand signal is going in.
You may measure the voltage on the mute pins while powered to see if it's valid on. Next measure the voltage on the bootstrap capacitors. (while powered) first check I for shorts on any capacitor (with multimeter set to lowest range)
When reading about the 6k?? ohm measured between gnd and each output, even for an ampboard you haven't connected previously to power or speaker or input if I understand correctly " I didn't mess with" part of a post, I then wonder what the meter reads when measuring a 103 resistor next to the led.
Thanks guys! Even though I love investigating the problem, it is above my pay grade! I de-soldered the leads and connected another pair up. Diana Krall sounds sooo good with morning coffee! I always order more than I need in case one or more are dead or something. These little mono 3118 'S are so surupy sweet! Wish they had a bit more head room though. Near field is great with my old ears. If someone wants the old boards I will gladly mail them, gratis.
The 6k was when I had mm at 20k setting. It was 3.? When I changed to 200 scale. The unused boards measured the same, though.
Question: I was going to use a pair of the 3118 mono boards for a qubinator type (boominator) build with two cheap coaxials 8" for the boat/island with pink styrofoam boxes. Two drivers magnet to magnet like Saturnes's boominator. The sensitivity is stated at 90dbs, the woofers are 4ohms according to someone's the spec sheet is suspect for correctness from mcm. I think I need more powerful amp for these in open air pushing 2ohms when the 4 ohm woofers are paired, right?? So which class d amp would work best? I just read a thread regarding TPA 8932, 8950 that are supposed to play loud without harshness but need 8ohm load? I built my son's a pair of boat speakers with the coax 8" Bluetooth receiver and 3116d2 in plastic garbage pails that came out pretty good, but dad wants more, more! Thanks for any suggestions and all advice given. I sure do love the sound from these (now listening) 3118s though! Would these handle the load and work louder with 24v? Decision, decisions!
Am I supposed to wire up the mute with a switch to run these boards? I am done with the two problem boards, just don't want to have a repeat with the last two pair! It is painfully long impatient wait for replacements! They are just so sweet and are running fine without the mutes attached. Someone described as as having a "tube sound", that is my take on them too
You don't need to connect the mute pins. Only if you want a "mute" function. Use a simple toggle switch if you want between the two.
For an outdoor application you need more wattage. The 8932 does sound superb but if you look at specs the distortion goes through the roof at 10watts.
The 3118 PBTL is the correct amp for the outdoor 2ohm qubinator as it is 2ohm capable and can drive 60watts. You need to glue the bottom side of the boards to a strip of aluminum with RTV silicone for a heatsink at those powers though or it may cut out due to thermal. It won't damage the amp but music will be intermittent when pushed hard.

Power is dependant of PSU voltage, so you won't find a more powerfull amp, what is more I don't think you find another that will drive 2 ohm load happily. Music isn't sinewave but at 120-150watt (sinewave input) it is hard to get rid of heat, but try with music and look if it shuts down.
Thanks xrk, I have read and a tone of your project posts and built the cornu and karlsonator. Thanks for the tip about heatsink. The amps will be inside foam box so should help. Can I connect two together for more output? Don't know if it's parralel or biamping? 12v or 24v? And any other suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks
Thanks irribeo, I don't know very much about electronics for sure. That PSU limiting output is prob why all the amp boards have roughly the same output for me? So 12 or 24 or what battery voltage should get the most output?
with the mono Sanwu3118 you have 4 amplifiers for one speaker already, parallel bridged already
24V for highest output
24V for highest output
The Sanwu3118 board will be driving a pair of 8" coax in each box. So a pair of drivers in a pair of boxes. So the mono boards have 60 watts output where the stereo board have 30w x2 right? So two 12v nominal SLA batts in series will be best, thanks.
So you gave up on the broken boards and two boards failed at the same time with the same error? Hmm..
Powering the boards without load, connecting power or disconnecting power at board, my best guesses for damage.

Are thees D class amp dangerous to power without loud, like tube amps?
I know AB amps will be powered without load for days, without any problem.
Use one board for one coax (or put two coax in series = 4+4 = 8 ohms)The Sanwu3118 board will be driving a pair of 8" coax in each box.
