they looked very good, very nice tweeter freq response, but they looked expensive
I've used the Ciare 12" coax sold at U.S. Speaker. Sounds pretty damn good and easy to get a flat response out of it.
Just depends how much you want to spend.
thank you, i will check them out
Hmm, are those prettiest pro coax curves right there on that sica driver? 🙂 Do you have those peterbrorsson, how does it measure?

No, I don't have them but I will buy them soon.

What about this:

Yeah that one looks pretty nice too. Only measurements will show if any of them is better than the other. By better I mean mainly the woofer response in the 1-4khz region, which seems to be bumpy ride for most drivers and hard to pull of passive crossover. Actually sica 10cx looks a bit better in passive crossover perspective if figuring out the crossover frequency by driver size (match polar response at crossover region), which would be around 1.5kHz for the 10". I'm not sure how coaxial speakers measure in this regard and if it is of any importance. Sica datasheet says nominal dispersion is 100 degrees, not sure at what frequency that is so cannot say about the crossover much before measurements. Peterbrorson, it would be cool to see measurements of the Sica driver when you get it 🙂
It will be a while, I have a contact in Sica factory and I'm often in this area at work. I guess I can start going there in end of May beginning June...
while we are at it, what do you think of the p.audio sn6-150cx, another 6.5" pa coax
looks to be used in the trenner & friedl osiris

Looks good also but a bit weird with rubber surround. In home use not so critical but outside in cold weather...
ragged freq response as usual for coax's, but with high resolution measurement so hard to compare to other makers. but the 12" looks to be something that can be worth considering

they are very cheap and looks otherwise to be well made
