ChatGPT ideas about amplifier design

I think stupidity is not to understand what the best decision or choice is even if you have all the data to be able to recognize it.
Ignorance is not to know about an argument.
There is remedy for the latter.

Real problem is elevated to the power if/when ignorance and stupidity are associated.

However humans have always learned new things from their mistakes, if intelligent enough to think about it.
And humans are masters in finding workarounds.

Frankly, I would leave the mental pathology aside for an infinity of reasons, sensitivity and obvious inability to provide authoritative opinions at first.
IMVHO Thinking about reading only one university textbook or even one medical article about mental illness and then thinking being able to say your opinion about it frankly I find it not only inappropriate, but also presumptuous if not pathetic, without offense for anyone of course.

However, sharing through the Internet ideas, experiences, skills is already a kind of AI to which we are more than used to it and who also gave a true huge contribution to anyone's knowledge.

I really hope that AI is never used as a weapon.

Hopefully there are enough of us willing to try.
If you are serious, the read Haidt's "the righteous mind," figure out where your morality sits in his model, then decide if you will be willing to change to the exact opposite morality to make AI more responsibly used? Probably you will not want to change your morality, more likely you will hope other people can be convinced to see your morality as the true and correct morality they should switch to.

Mental pathology cannot be left out of a meaningful discussion of AI. And speaking only for myself, my knowledge of it derives largely from lived experience.

Franly I cannot say (and I do not know) about your argumentation, also and most of all because there are no 2 persons or 2 equal personalities in the world.

If you have the freedom to express your experiences, do it as well.
I think more mentioning inside the AI argument here, rather than an in-depth description. IMVHO
However in my previous post I did not refer in any way to you or to your desciption, but to those who, even without realizing it, pontificate in this regard.

If Musk can get his brain implants working, somebody may figure out how to make us do or be whatever they want. Otherwise what you are suggesting is probably not going to happen.

Suppose one of your faults is that you are overconfident you are right about what you have just been arguing? How would you feel if you were to suddenly see that? Would it be disappointing?
No. It would be enlightening. There would be an emotional response, of course, but it’s our responsibility to navigate that in a healthy manner.

Well, it turns out that people are pretty bad at predicting how they will feel after a few months if they win the lottery, and just as bad at predicting how they will feel after a few months after an accident that puts them in a wheelchair for the rest of their lives. To predict you will feel enlightened is likely to be equally unreliable.

A complexity that we humans can no longer keep up with.
Humans actually never managed to keep up with the times, or with the complexity of their times.
The young people of course, the elderly of course less.
Few ones have really enjoyed having to keep up with the times.
Because being happy humans means being complete and healthy, materially and "morally".
If it is true that there has been and there is an improvement in terms of comfort it is also true that the price you have to pay is very (too?) high not only in material terms, but precisely in existential, moral terms and physical and mental health terms.
Sure AI seems beyond any imagination and every precedent, but humanity has so far always found an unpredictable way of saving herself.
Until now.

P. S.: Hoping tomorrow to say something about "knowledgeness" and "consciousness"...

Really?
And where did you get the knowledge to say such a thing?

You are talking about things of human beings with a human being, is there something more unpredictable and more respectable?
The human being and most of all the psyche of the human being is one of the most unreliable thing existing in nature, so what are we talking about?
And why did you ask him, then?
If that answer has not given you at least a microscopic impetus of joy, the issue is on "other" sides. IMO

Statistics?
No, thanks. 🙂
