Agree and add: can´t you open/remove the power amp module and supply (you will have to anyway to mod it) and post a couple pictures?
So we *know* whether you have an iron transformer (EI type or toroidal) or an SMPS
If the latter, they often (but not always) include some 3 pin jumper which when plugged one way or the other works either with 120V or 240V
It is not automatic but user/Tech operated and you have to locate it first.
