Carpenter Exam

Hello my name is Jordi and i've been considering making a loudspeaker for my final project.

Is there any thread or article for helping me chose a certain speaker, with blueprints. I can only use 400-500 euros for the parts of the speaker.

Im planing on using CNC on using plywood or mdf like in the foto.

Thanx in advance

Is that a faceted surface?

There are lots and lots of designs with full drawings. There is a very rich vein to mine.

I personally am a big fan of FR loudspeakers.

Do not spend a lot of cash on your first build, you will learn much, and it will inform the choice of your next build.

The first driver i would suggest looking at is the Mark Audio CHN-110, you can build a very well rounded, well behaved loudspeaker.

Check out waxx’s comments on his ML-TL.

Yes it is, i want it to be wavy like the sound hehe

Yeah i've seen so many that i got overwhelmed, that's why i wrote that.

The other idea is to take the parts from my elac debut 6.2, and just make the box. It will be my last resource tho.

Thanx for the suggestion i'll look into it.

Given it is a carpentry project, i expectthe woodwork is the most important.

Your budget is somewhat limited for a decent 3-way.

Well i just need the parts tho, i might be able to find the wood in my school, eitherway the wood it's not the most expensive part i think.

i was thinking on 400 for the parts since they will become my future speakers.

I've got a marantz 2250B so i want something that matchs it

Do you get credit for the CNC complexity / uneven pattern if it is on the inside of the cabinet?

Or would you be able to cast clear resin over the complex design (so the surface of the clear resin is smooth and won't impact the soundi
Would the outside dessing affect the sound?, I like the complex pattern on the inside too tho, i'll look into it

Yes the plan was to put varnish on the outside pattern.
