can you help a newbie

I have a cobra kit car , I would like to add a small amp that feeds subwoofers . The issue is to get RCA cables from my sah to my trunk , interior panels are glued down etc , nasty , its a kit car.
So I wanted to see if its at all possible to come off my rear speakers ( in trunk already ) with on of those RCA plug adapters , then plug those RCA s into the sub thats feeding my subs

Yeah that's one way you can do it. Its a line output converter that takes speaker level to rca output, some even have the remote turn on. I recommend using I-Pac brand we use them all the time in factory radios in the shop

Newbie question - I have 6 " 2 way speakers in my doors , if my amp has the power ( which I think it does ) could parallel 6" speakers under my dash ( 2 ways ) would it "fill " the car with music more efficiently , just a question - car has 2 subs in trunk , 6x9 s in rear deck , 6" in doors , 3" tweeters top of dash . Maybe I am being a music / stereo junkie , just asking

You have to be careful not to drop the total speaker impedance to below the lowest rated impedance for the amp. If you do, you risk damaging the amp.

Another newbie question , I have an older Alpine MRV F340 amp bridged running two Rockford Fosgate Prime R2 12 subs , they are connected at 4 Ohms now , can I change to 2 ohms , will the result be more bass , sharper bass and sub will use more power ( when I am hitting it hard )

Thank you Perry , would the right thing to do with those subs be to get a 2 ohm amp ? mono amp ? the subs work but they seem alittle lazy ?

hey Perry I am not sure , here a link if you could look at it for me , I am wondering if I wired them right , theres 4 jacks on each sub ( 2 pos / 2 neg ) I think I just brought pos & neg to one set ? they are the 12 " I ll look see if I understand your question ?

I would take that as dual 2 ohm coils. I would expect that the amp would be going into protect mode if you had it run to only one coil. You need to pull the woofers to see exactly how you have them connected.

I wouldn't say that the alpine is a POC but it's not going to push that woofer to it's full potential.

I have a line on a Rockford fosgate p 400 x 2 , would that be more what I should be looking at 200 watt x 2 @ 2ohm ?

That's another class AB amp. It's going to run hot. It may do the job but there may be better options unless you can get it for a really good price and you know that it's in good working order. A class D amp would run much cooler and draw less current (for an equal output power).

I can get it for 150.00 its a few months old , is it big money to get into a & d class , by running hot , would it be hot to the touch & need a huge wire feeding it ?

Using a larger wire won't make it run cooler. It's the type of circuit topology that makes it run hotter than a class D.

You can get class D amps for cheap. If you plan on buying a class D amps, post the make/model. Some are notoriously unreliable.
