If I only want to use the Amp on the O2 is it possible to disable the DAC on the O2 ODAC and use PC soundcard as DAC?
I'm looking at either building a O2 ODAC or O2 AMP.

By "O2 ODAC" do you mean something like this, an amplifier and a DAC in the same chassis, or are you asking if the ODAC can be used as an amplifier?
In the first case yes, just bypass the DAC by using the analog input, in the second case it is a clear no. The DAC cannot drive headphones directly.

Yes it is O2 Dac and AMP in same case.
So then I just connect 3.5mm cable + powersupply and the amp should work?

Yup. That's it.
The inexpensive USB DACs on this website compare favourably with the O2 DAC. I have had one for over half a year.

These are discussed on some detail elsewhere on this forum. The cost is much less.
Contrary to other opinions expressed, I find these little DACs drive headphones just fine.

Reading this guide: ODAC installation
There is two ways of installation, I should use Method 2, then the ODAC is disabled when using Line in 3.5mm.
Method 1 have to remove USB cable to disable ODAC.
I guess Method 1 might also work but a little bit less practical to have to remove USB everytime...
