Can Ultracaps be used in *amplifier* PSUs?

Seems fraught with issues for unclear benefit. Would rather design a very powerful SMPS.

Because we live in the real world? Changing the capacitor type is audible on any amp. Or any opamp, no matter what the PSRR. Just an inexplicable empiric observation, like everything else that matters 🙂

I'll take that in the generous spirit it was intended to meet my own (slightly tongue-in-cheek) post 🙂
That used to be my position, but spent 20-ish yrs educating/trying-to-measure myself out of it.
