Cambridge Audio Azur 840E Schematic, Service Manual

Here`s the Cambridge`s volume-ladder equipped with a new bunch of Fujitsu SY-9W-K. Because of their much lower current they do not develop as much heat as the "massuse"-relais do and as a sideeffect they are less noisy when they switch.
You need 28 of them and perhaps 2 hours time.

A vacuum solder gun/pump is best for a professional approach and reduce potential pad damage, although I remember the board being fairly resilient. This totally fixed it for me, I put some adhesive heat sinks on top of the relays when done, as the whole module still gets hot. It doesn't appear to be the most thoughtful design factoring in thermal.

Here`s the original encoder for the preamp, as you can see,- its not a closed design. The two halfs are hold together with clamps that can easily opened and closed again for a complete cleaning and overhaul of the inside.
