I'm partial to my humble but long-winded Volvo 240. We got the last one up to well over 500K miles before the odometer died again, and drove it a few more years thereafter.

well asssuming that they were stationary inside the plane then murphy's law would tend to suggest that the plane would take of however if they were driving and the pacer ran into the back of the pinto then the plane would blow up

You could argue that all riddles and hypothetical questions are flawed, but that's a cop out. What makes it interesting is seeing how you interpret/disect/evaluate it with what limited info you do have. 😉 So select a corner dagnammit!

If the wheels turn faster and faster to keep ahead of the conveyor speed, they will very quickly exceed C. So while some of the plane may well be in 2006 the wheels may still be in 2005.....
This is one factor overlooked in this thread thus far....
If we stop the plane now, we may still save the space-time continu........oh never mind!!
