PaulS, emotional connection has nothing to do with what something sounds like, can you connect emotionally to Dr Dre's music on the bargain ASR? I can much easier emotionally connect with my dog howling at the moon.

I haven't tested the Burson either, but why should I be disqualified from giving opinion? I have no doubt that the Burson will outperform an OPA627. I can say that even without having to hear the Burson. I have hundreds of opamps. The OPA627 is among the worst. I think I know why people think it is one of the best. Technically may be, but I don't care.

Quite amazing how much this IC has been overhyped to death
while it s no better than a 5532 , and even worse in matter
of available OLG in the audioband.....
