My belated Thanks to the organizers of Burning Amp 2024. Thanks to Jim (6L6), Rahul, Tom, Scott (Speaker workshop), Ben Mah and Nelson Pass, Other presenters and many others who answered questions and gave me advice. Ranga

Now you need a DIY DAC!!!

DIY DAC is a bit intimidating. Are there any that are novice approachable? Now you need a DIY DAC!!!
Because it's an RPi hat, NOS, devoid of a complex I to V coverter, etc. , the ProtoDAC 1387 x 8 is cheap and easy. I used one at BA 2024. reference is:

It will work with many players using RPi's in various configurations. Happy to help and answer questions.

The Miro AD1862 is fantastic. The thread is a mess and full of very superstitious info, but it’s not as hard as it looks.
I also created a wood base for my Zenducter's. 🙂
Thanks to everyone that made Burning Amp 2024 possible. I had a great time!

Amp Camp Update!!
Very happy to report that 100% of Amp Camp attendees walked away with completed and operative amplifier sets. Overall there were very few issues with building/construction/testing of the amplifiers, most of the issues, which were few and far between, could be traced back to cold solder joints, which are not difficult to diagnose and very easy to remedy.
We got to test them with a few different speakers and the consensus can be summed up as, “wow, these really sound great!.”
A fine time was had by all and I look forward to next year!
Observations ( most are of a mechanical nature ):
The wire was really hard to strip. Next year I'm bringing in my super duper wire strippers.
The little transformer had to be handled into place.
The speaker connectors were a bit tricky. Specially if you mount them on the wrong side of the board... ( Now, WHO would do that? )
The LED isn't blue.
Thanks...
Good!The LED isn't blue.
Any news on the videos and when they might be posted?
Tom
I goofed on one of mine and Dan and Jim quickly diagnosed and assisted in fixing and I picked up a couple of trouble shooting tips from Jim!
I can send you a couple of blue if you would like them. It’s personal preference. I prefer blue.Observations ( most are of a mechanical nature ):

I think, I know, Randy has those color changing LEDs.
Oh, another thing. This little amp takes at least a minute to come up to speed after shutting it off. And, I'm not talking about "warming it up"... no, actually it needs to be charged before it can work. If you shut it down for a few minutes to change the wiring then you can't just turn it on and listen... noooo... you got to let it charge.
Interesting.

...loving my Zenductor II's and thanks to all you helped me in camp that Sunday. I do hear a little bit or low level squeel for 5 seconds or so when powering up. Just out of curiosity, is that the caps charging up?

I'm guessing you are referring to the ACA Mini. Yes, it takes 30-60 seconds after turning the switch on before it is up and fully running. That's not counting 20-30 min to warm up to attain pure awesomeness in the sound as well.Oh, another thing. This little amp takes at least a minute to come up to speed after shutting it off.
