Thanks for all of your work in pulling this together. You might have gathered by my lack of communication that the SSU contact I was forwarded to, never returned my second email.
Petaluma will be great! There are a number of very good restaurants from Santa Rosa to Marin. Plus, anyone adventurous enough for a road trip can experience some of the most beautiful scenery in California, if not the nation. Camping in the redwoods or north coast comes to mind. 🙂

I am informed that there are still openings.
Remember, folks, this is the last of the Moths, the really beautiful
Slob OB enclosures in Cherry and the discrete active crossovers.
There will be no more...

I was just talking to Nelson about that. Tickets bought, hotel booked. I’ll be there 🙂
Same here. That and the event is a couple thousand miles away... if only we could have the kit shipped and join virtually from afar.Damn! Wish I could get off work. 🙁
Hi, guys. Petaluma is GREAT ! Less than 1 hour from Healdsburg ! Woo-Hoo !!
Jim Moellering and I are planning to attend and represent VPE Electrodynamics. Who do we contact regarding vendor arrangements ? We would like to bring a pair of VPE Model 1 Little Dipole Woofers and Maggie LRS’s for demo. (Pass XP-12 and DIY F5 Turbo 2 Amp for the Maggies.)

About two hours from Santa Cruz and a ton of projects promised to friends (it's a good way to use spare drivers 😆) before the summer is out makes this one a tough dollar. Next year I'll bring The Official Toastiest WHAMMY On The Planet [1], lord willing and the creek don't rise.
[1] spoiler alert: bumping output bias to 180 mA sweetens even 1st generation HD-800s. Larger heatsinks and a small fan (for the vitamins) are wanted, of course.

The speakers would be terrific, but, seriously, how would one get them home? I'm too old to drive halfway across the country, and I'm not even sure that they'd fit in either of my cars. Overhead bin on a plane?

No! The baffles are 20"x40"x1" thick. Each speaker comes in a box perhaps 24x44x6 and HEAVY! Plus 2 boxes for the 15" woofers, and 2 boxes for the 8" Moths.

Looking forward to BAF 2023! I think I can duck out of parenting responsibilities that weekend, anyway. I am working on a new loudspeaker project that I will try bring if I finish it in time. I also have a bunch of drivers to contribute to the swap meet and/or raffle.
More importantly:Hmmm... An hour drive from SFO.
Tom
(1) Not in city of SF
(2) In the wine country, around the 101, very nice.
(3) 38 mi ( 47 min ) from Rutherford ( Rancho Caymus Inn ).
(3a) From SoCal this is awesome.. a nice drive up the 101, stopping in Buellton or SLO for night and dinner... then driving up the 101 all the way to hwy 116 and to Napa -or- 101 to East Bay to Vallejo and Napa... to Rutherford.
(4) Or if wife decides to go cheap, we can drive up the 101 to Santa Rosa and stay there.
(5) Spend one day at Amp Camp and several days at the wineries. Hopefully more time, will depend on wife's patience.
(6) Drive back home on the 101 again. To Paso Robles for Big Bubbah's Bad To The Bone BBQ and then SR46/SR33/SR166 to the 5 and home.
That will be a nice week.
I'll wear a fake mustache and cheap glasses. Just call me Fred Flinstone.

In the California wine countries you don't need a spare tire... you just need one of these...
Note: I need asbestos gloves for soldering after an encounter with a porron. Everything becomes a "hot" solder joint.

I would like to attend, if my schedule allows. I will know for sure around the August/September time frame. It's a longer drive from Sunnyvale, though, was hoping that it could be a venue within the greater SF bay area (peninsula, south bay or east bay). Oh well.
It's been a few years since my last BAF - there was no BAF when COVID was rampant, and I also had a conflict for last year's event (was in Hawaii for high school reunion).
