Jumping the gun a bit, but has a date/location been set for next year? I was attending my son’s wedding this past weekend, but my wife asked me if I’d be interested in future events, particularly if at a venue where there’d be separate tourist attractions for her.
I read above there were two separate LX mini systems on demo, one with Nelson’s new dedicated active crossover and a triad of Tom Christiansen’s Mod686. What was the other?

The other was SL's original LX Mini, driven through Nelson's analogue crossover, driven by the other Nelson's multi-channel amp.

Frank Brenner of www.magiclx521.com was driving the same pair of LX mini +2 speakers with two different sets of electronics. One was the NP analog active crossover and the Mod686 amps. The other was the PowerBox 6pro,
http://www.linkwitzlab.com/LXmini/PB 6 pro NCore Flyer.pdf which consists of DSP crossover and 6 Hypex ncore amps in one box. I thought both sounded great and the PowerBox had the advantage of being very space efficient.

Happy to provide the pictures. If people want to supply notes I can try to add them to the gallery. I guess the forums have a gallery section - I can transfer the images there if the community feels it would be helpful.Your photos are deeply appreciated. How wonderful to see all the hollow- and solid-state stuff having a play date together!
Review notes from anyone who got to listen to the stuff in the photos would also be very cool.

Thanks, pardon my ignorance / sloth, but were might I find details on the latter? I’d spent some time with Tom’s 686 on several speaker systems with which I’m familiar (as the builder ) about a month ago, and was quite impressed.
The other was driven by a pair of ti tpa3255 with meanwell power supplies.

Actually, it was:
1) Tablet -> Reclocker -> Oppo DAC -> Pass XO -> PowerBox -> LXmini+sub
2) Tablet -> Reclocker -> Oppo DAC -> Pass XO -> 6x MOD686 -> LXmini+sub
The PowerBox was only used for maybe 45 minutes. The rest of the time the MOD686es were used.
I do agree that the PowerBox is a very space efficient solution. Class D will win on space and weight every time.

Many thanks to Mario and all the helping hands, that made BAF2018 possible!
It was a pleasure meeting you.
Some more details on the display in the linkwitzlab room:
Tablet PC -> AFI USB Reclocker -> Oppo HA-1 DAC, then either
PowerBox Ncore as demo unit, fitted with a switch to instantly change between LXmini and LXmini+2 configuration (change in mid-woofer eq and sub-switching).

Jan,
I believe it's the same Realizer you're referring to. I don't know who the original donor may have been years ago, but Charlie had it after BAF'17 and passed it to NP, who then passed it to the BAF'18 raffle. This year's raffle was one of the most generous I've ever seen at BAF.
Mario
I know who the donor was, he purchased it from me. But if he wants to remain anonymous, I will respect that.

Ah. Thanks for the correction.

Linear Systems made the rounds and interviewed the presenters, as well as recording the talks. They will post the results after they get a chance to edit.
Curious to see if they remembered to turn off the lav mic when they visited the restroom this time.
Just the beginning, many many more to come. Some early shots of the setup.
