Check the Hermes-BBB thread for a good summary, Merlin.I'm sorry for my ignorance, what's the purpose of all system?
I understood:
Hermes = USB to I2S isolator
Rhea = clock modules
Chronus = re-clocking modules to be installed Rheas
I have USB to I2S isolator Diyhink installed between my Amanero & BIII so will be not necessary the Hermes module?
What can do the BBB?
-display
-filters
-etc.

Yes, you have i2s control. Also, the BBB acts as a player so all you need to add is storage. It's an all-in-one solution.
Thanks Duffy, now all make sense and it's very interesting, how will see how is doing the BBB? what price have the BBB?

Many thanks for all the info Duffy, do you know if I will need the USB isolator or can I use the Diyhink?
Further clarification. The idea is to eliminate USB from the chain. Processor (BBB) directly produces I2S. Then it is reclocked and isolated. Most have reported SQ improvement by eliminating USB processing and reprocessing and all the noise that comes with it.
If you have/get a BBB, you'll need the Hermes-BBB. You'll also need a Cronus with Rhea clock module (fast or slow clocks - up to you).
Hermes goes between BBB & BIII to isolate I2S line?
Why can't use other I2S isolator?
Why can't use other I2S isolator?

Yes, among other things. All listed on page one of the Hermes thread.Hermes goes between BBB & BIII to isolate I2S line?

Why not? Well you can use whatever you want. This is just one way of doing it I suppose.
