Building a Tube PreAmp for Teddy

Yes, teddy is a very lucky guy. :innocent:It just bothers the hell out of me that some people have to leave their mark on every single thread.

"if you dont have something nice to say..."

But does it not bother you that what he says is so blatantly wrong - verifiable wrong, not just a different opinion - and that he is spreading it across the net? Putting all those unsuspecting lurkers years behind in education?
Are you not interested in getting things right for a change? Should 'being nice' be our top priority here?

ncdrawl,

If I may,

I have removed one of your posts due to profanity and name calling. That is not allowed here. Neither is demanding that those with a differing opinion stay clear of a thread. You must know that Ivey is delivering some very controversial information and that those well versed are entitled to rebuke.

"being nice" -- the very reason this thread exists.

Ivey is building something for an individual and thought it would be nice to share his progress... I suggest that instead of being rude in public, that any comments that detract from the kindness/intent of the thread should be made IN PRIVATE.

it is called "tact" or "class". or, where i am from,.... "common sense" or "common decency"

Nearly finish, just the wooden case remains:

Nearly done, so I decided to upload some photos of the phono preamp

Elephants never forgot, friends for life.

Chains that bond our friendship together.

Any suggestions for the wooden finish, Oak, Walnut, Maple, or Pecan.

Take Care

I'm pretty partial to cherry (warm reddish hue) actually.. (Can you discretely find out what the recipient's preferences are?) Looks very nice btw. How about some circuit details at some point if you care to share them?

Hi Ivey,

I see on your bench my favourite yellow handled snips,
my favourite double ended black marker,
that might even be my favourite glue stick!

Hell, all that's missing is a lovely amp like yours .:mischiev:

Many thanks for posting your pics

Yea, those are plastic rods, they light up in a beautiful blue light. Great for dim rooms.

I finish the phono amp

Here is a pic.

Amp sounds good using bench supplies, will layout power supply tomorrow and have it built this weekend.

Take Care

Ivey
