GU50 is not that bad as pentode in pentode you will get all the power you need. If you go for triode try schade feedback then.

Two pieces of GU50 in PSE junction can deliver more than ~ 35W output power with very little internal resistance and low primary anode impedance (~ 1-1.25kOhms). With Shade feedback and a THD distortion criterion of ~ 2% output power can be greater than 25W (up to 30W!) so you should definitely try something like this.
