I think i would limited it to a 32 volt power adapter because i don't want the amp to get to hot when playing loud music,it's already very hot in europe , denmark and it does get a little hot mabye 35c but not as hot as my tube buffer, preamp.
Im not in any hurry to get a 32 volt power adapter but i like to know what it does my amp, system and if it gets to hot for my taste (amp when playing loud)

First check the capacitors in the power supply line of your amp before you buy a PSU. If they are declared at 35V I would not buy a 32V PSU.
One customer comment:
"However, here's my one gripe as an EE that is no stranger to questioning specifications. It's disingenuous to say that this amp could deliver 160W+160W RMS. That is indeed the nominal datasheet spec for the TDA7498E, but it's only achievable under the following conditions: Vcc=36V, RL=4 Ohm, and THD=10%. The power supply shipped with this unit is only 24V, and the internal electrolytic caps are only rated to 35V. Assuming we want to stick to <1% THD with our 24V power supply and stock caps, Figure 4 in the datasheet tells us that we're able to source 60W+60W RMS into a 4 Ohm load. For 0.1% THD this figure is reduced slightly. 60W per channel is very much loud enough for my application, but it may matter to you!"
With that in mind, your amp is not high power, but average.

you can argue if 2x160 watt is not high power for low sensitive speakers, it can make them play loud, for speakers with high sensitivity like some klipsch and zo audio speakers it's gonna be party level in a big room.
My full sized hif amp is indeed a 2x160 watt amp dynamicallly or peak power in 8 ohm, lowered by 10 db to gain, level match it to my turntable.
It's still loud but a different loud (or sound if you will) when comparing a/b to class d
I know class d is rated at higher thd, therefor i wanted something above the usually 2x50 watt in 4ohm
My mini system for my tv is actually Class d (nad c717) and it also does a great job where it too has it's forces in the midrange with a little bright'ish top

You are greatly mistaken if you think that your Fosi amplifier can deliver 2x160W in any measured way.
About the supply:
With 85% efficiency (straight from datasheet) that allows for 108*0.85=91.8W RMS TOTAL
Enough for the 2 x 35W RMS I estimated.
Ad also claims:
They speak of 10% distortion.
I also LOVED this bit:
Maybe the earlier supply connector melted or caught fire?
Math says that 24*4.5=108W so that´s the maximum DC power supply can give you.Better than the 24 volt 4.5 amp that comes with the unit?

which not even the datasheet, under ideal conditions does.160W X 2(4 ohms, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 0.04% THD)

Get a 3eAUDIO TPA3255. They have amazing sound quality and are inexpensive. Sorry about your import taxes. Do you know anyone in the uk or elsewhere in Europe who could get it and then post it you?
Im in for a fairly powerful class d amp for under €100 or £90 for my low sensitive speakers
So fare i have found a FX-AUDIO FX1002A and a Fosi audio TDA7498E amp within my budget
Some say smsl amp below the FX1002A can have have channel unbalance and hiss
The Fosi amp seem to have gotten som improvements like this over the older version but is it better than the cheaper version of the same amp like the one from breeze audio
The fosi amp only comes with a 24 volt power adapter where the fx audio amp comes with a 32 volt power adapter
hiss and channel unbalance ?
What is the amp to go for ?
Hello,
I just received and tested my TDA7498E class D amp connected it to my computer and my Technics SB-X3 old speakers and played some FLAC and APE music files, some CD quality, other 24-bit Hi-Res and I have to tell that I'm astonished by the sound quality.
I just purchased the most cheap I could find:

For just around 34€ I think that was the best budget amplifier I could find 🙂
