Well, there is actually even better solution. On one of the other forums I sometimes frequent, they introduced an option for a thread starter to exclude any individuals he chooses from participating in a discussion. This has been working great for years now and I think it would be perfect approach to keep the peace at Tweakers Sanctuary.

That would be a small impact. Seriously, IF true, the whole thermodynamics as we know it would be incorrect. Direct consequences is that the birth and evolution of the Universe would have to be reconsidered, from the Big Bang to our days. The whole information theory would have to be rewritten, and the computer I am writing right now could not exist, but as a God's creation.
Trouble makers upset me! This forum was setup for Tweakers to discuss their "tweaks" I thought. You know it all's have a place to spew your high and mighty intelligence with each other, as we are all idiots because we listen first and foremost and this seems to fly in the face of your beliefs. Why not stay where you feel that you knowledge would be appreciated and welcomed? Do you always go out of your way to tell people that they are misguided and obviously stupid? I simply can not follow the logic. If you can not understand or find a means to prove what we hear, then leave it alone. But no you feel compelled to tell us all that we are snake oil peddlers (when the majority of us are listeners and not sellers) or delusional. Is your game to stir up trouble when ever you can for sport?

As the subject was controversial, the thread starter blocked certain individuals from participation. It works very well to keep prolonged, on subject discussions. You can do it right from the beginning, or later, when you see that given individual is not mature enough to participate. Only the person starting the thread decides who is being blocked.
I would highly recommend such approach here.

Curly, you did not 'hijack' the thread, but the hear no difference PhD's did. It is useless for Stefanoo to keep asking specific questions about this subject, because it will be met with 'polite' ridicule. I was going to tell him, earlier, but we got diverted.
