Okay here's my problem.. It's my first projector, I bought it on eBay and the lamp isn't working. I did few searches for the type of lamp and I didn't find any replacement lamp anywhere. I got a HP vp6111, Lamp : USHIO, Type : NSH200BQ, max 200W..
Is there another type of lamp I can use for it?.. It's also written NSH200BQ on the bulb.. I'd want to use another type of lamp if possible cause it seems impossible for me to get the same lamp...

Thank you for this thread, friends!

I am a HP vp6111 owner, too, with expired lamp.

I scraped the cement and removed the broken light unit.

Now I'd like to put another kind of lamp into the reflector, with lower power, lower coasts and longer life.

Is there somebody to tell me the output voltage of the power supply?

Is there somebody with experience in such experiments?

The NSH200BQ is a 200W lamp. I've seen it in loads of projectors like the HP VP6210 and the Benq PB6200.

Does the lamp capsule look cracked or badly melted in anyway? If it doesn't then you might have an inverter fault. Worth checking before you try fitting in one of YWH's lamps..

EDIT: Why is there a 200W lamp in your 250W projector?! I would be moaning about that to the seller!

I found a cracked bulb, a lot of glass fragments and some smoke traces...

250 W corresponds to the HP description of vp6111

But the original built in lamp was really 200W?

It seems they had a reason to do so.

And my case is the same like the other of member Da_Avatar at the top of this thread.

But what shall I do now?

Today I had the idea to download HP's manual of vp6111, and I found the following information:

Lamp: 200 w ~ 250 w

My conclusion now is:
If I want to be brighter my projection, my choice is 250 w,
and if I prefer reduce some heat inside of my beamer, it should rather be 200 w.

I am asked to make a compromise, ain't I?
