Okay here's my problem.. It's my first projector, I bought it on eBay and the lamp isn't working. I did few searches for the type of lamp and I didn't find any replacement lamp anywhere. I got a HP vp6111, Lamp : USHIO, Type : NSH200BQ, max 200W..
Is there another type of lamp I can use for it?.. It's also written NSH200BQ on the bulb.. I'd want to use another type of lamp if possible cause it seems impossible for me to get the same lamp...

Just Google your request, I was able to find this but it's expensive.

Here is the cheapest price on that bulb. And another thing is if anybody is going to buy a projector on ebay make sure you research the bulbs since they can run very high.

ask YWH he can have cheap bulb and reflectors, it's all you need to get your projector working unless the power supply is dead too
I am YWH 🙂
are you sure your lamp is NSH? NSH is DC lamp,
but here is UHP, UHP is AC lamp, they are not same.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Here it is. Sorry for the delay, I didn't have time to do anything at home.. (school & work uh) That's all I can do. I would have like to remove the bulb inside but I don't know how to do without breaking ceramic..
Thank you for this thread, friends!
I am a HP vp6111 owner, too, with expired lamp.
I scraped the cement and removed the broken light unit.
Now I'd like to put another kind of lamp into the reflector, with lower power, lower coasts and longer life.
Is there somebody to tell me the output voltage of the power supply?
Is there somebody with experience in such experiments?

The NSH200BQ is a 200W lamp. I've seen it in loads of projectors like the HP VP6210 and the Benq PB6200.
Does the lamp capsule look cracked or badly melted in anyway? If it doesn't then you might have an inverter fault. Worth checking before you try fitting in one of YWH's lamps..
EDIT: Why is there a 200W lamp in your 250W projector?! I would be moaning about that to the seller!

I found a cracked bulb, a lot of glass fragments and some smoke traces...
250 W corresponds to the HP description of vp6111
But the original built in lamp was really 200W?
It seems they had a reason to do so.
And my case is the same like the other of member Da_Avatar at the top of this thread.
But what shall I do now?

the 250w lamp can run in 200w ballast , the active power is 200w yet.
so you can choose 250w JYS/DC, This is a cheaper lamp , $40 each only, shipping is $5.

As far as i understand the vp6111 uses a 250W lamp.
If my lamp was shattered i'd be buying a replacement from YWH.
What is weird is that Da_avatar's PJ had a 200W lamp fitted when it should have been 250W.

Today I had the idea to download HP's manual of vp6111, and I found the following information:
Lamp: 200 w ~ 250 w
My conclusion now is:
If I want to be brighter my projection, my choice is 250 w,
and if I prefer reduce some heat inside of my beamer, it should rather be 200 w.
I am asked to make a compromise, ain't I?

What it could be is that in 'eco' mode the lamp runs at 200W and in full brigtness mode it runs at 250W.
HP vp6111
