Though I was ready to fire things up. Smoke said no. Yet to find the mistake.

Stupid question, does the tube have to be installed before powering the board?

2sj79, 2sk216 were fakes. Pinout of 2sj79 is supposed to be gsd but fake is gds. 2sk216 pinout is supposed to be gsd but fake is gds. If you are going to make a fake of something, at least get the pinout correct.

Replaced failed and fake parts with parts from a trusted supplier.

With 6.3v on the tube heater only, I get a reading of -9.4mv at the rca audio output jacks. After letting the heater warm and quickly cycling the +/-24 board power supply, dc voltage on the audio outputs jumps to 2.7v.

Am I wrong in thinking this is way to much voltage? What dc should I be seeing at the rca outputs on a tube with a warm heater at startup? Have not left the +/-24v power supply on long enough to adjust the trim pot to the cathode, could this cause 2.7v at the audio outs? With shortly cycling the board power, no smoke yet and nothing felt warm.
