Why bother with CFP's ???? You gain a volt ! So what.
They are not faster ... I have a CFA on a EF3 that does 350V/uS with Sanken devices.
Perhaps the peaking and sharp ringing of a CFP has it's "sound" ,
but I don't like that sound.
Cheap way to make a AB amp. all my 30-40 YO AB's that I restore are all AB EF2's.
ALL DIY and OEM CFP's have long threads and "magic smoke" stories. Why ?
Is it human ?
There are 100's of "how to fix my CFP amp threads" ... why?
Now , there is a "superpair" which is a CFP , as the VAS.
But, you run a EF2/3 with it. Easier to tame as a VAS.
Still get A "CFP sound" ... what ever that is ?

Hi OS
Perhaps it can be said as "love at first sound" I am not a technically skilled person so I cannot write about its technical advantages over the other topologies, and yes I've read a lot about the disadvantages of a CFP output stage. I've built a few simple DIY amps offered here in DIYAudio and amongst them two stands out, it was the P3A and the first VSSA. These two amps are alike they are big sounding and can be mistaken as that of a larger amp. Perhaps it was my confidence that pushed me to design my own CFP amp when I built P3A. Honestly I'm also doing a bootstrapped EF2 amp, (bootstrapped because of its simplicity) but was set aside because I chose to build this CFP, but maybe one day I will continue with the EF2 project.
Having said that I have actually simmed your EASYAMP because I was attracted with the cascoded VAS that gives a good amount of H2. I dealt with cascodes before but I can't get them to output a good amount of H2.
