Orginally w22 had no woofers. It was 2way with two tweeters, one facing back.
And vented. The funky scroll work inside forms 4 pipes of (looks like) slightly different lengths. I wonder if this is the Hegeman thing which we now see in things like the KEF meta tweeters.

Now it has two 15" woofer
Push-push? ie answered my last query.
dave
push pull would result in no pressure inside nice for the mid range. but it would make it a Open baffle (except for that bass port then it would act up funky i think) sitting side ways and you would have exactly 0 lows at the listening spot, so nope, they both move outwardsush-push? ie answered my last query.
push pull would result in no pressure inside
Only if wired wrong. And where did push-pull come from?
Ref the little ones there is a whole thread here with m,any clone builds: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/boenicke-w5-clone.310367/
The concept is good, the comment above about colouration rings (pun intended) since the first step in improving them would be to choose a better 3” FR — the dirt cheap Fountek has a quite coloured top. A better box could be done as well.
Re the W22, the opicture of V1 with no woofers seems to be teh same, same volume, as the one with 2 x 15”. I doubt the box is big enuff and the DSP is there to fix that, and i suspect that the ionfluence of the large bass drivers on the midBass will not be a positive thing.

ooh i thought you asked if it was push pull ? aparantly you said push push 🙂 yes !Only if wired wrong. And where did push-pull come from?
any idea what these drivers are (the 15 inch >?)Re the W22, the opicture of V1 with no woofers seems to be teh same, same volume, as the one with 2 x 15”. Aha it is sealed. but not from the mid woofer , so there is no bass porthaha just a review but funny 🙂

and people give ME a hard time with my alleged subjective analysis of speakers and acoustics... lol.About him, Sven Boenicke...from their blurb I read a while back...OMG...
"Like synaesthesia, Sven can photographically remember sound. He can see its harmonic texture as colour. By storing that colour in his memory, he can vividly recall his experience in the acoustic sound field of incredible live performances even months later. Each Boenicke speaker in its development stage is fine-tuned with his own recordings. The same holds true for our electronics, cables and power distribution solutions. Sven uses his recall of the concert hall reality as the only valid reference to ensure the tuning and sonic balance of all Boenicke products."
The whole pamphlet is written like this.
This makes witch craft sound like quantum physics. Last time I heard of someone with similar talents, his initials were JC.
The products of Boenicke don't deserve serious attention here, be it for the lounge. I suggest we discuss the Bose history instead, which actually is of more importance than this
Also on that website, 8 grand for a Fountek fullrange (which as far as I know are absolute and out of stock) plus some kind of 5 inch woofer?
I am just confused, maybe someone can please explain?

And theres profit left over?! 😉Owner boenicke himself will fly to your house to hook it up. It has programmable dsp after all, for each individual room.

at least for the W5 with a rather dumb crossover frequency
yeah let people fly over for every sale... they are not to greenAnd theres profit left over?! 😉
a Fountek fullrange (which as far as I know are absolute and out of stock)
I have a box packed with 4 good FF88ex (and 2 or 3 working but with dents), ready to ship. Drivers bought before th eNeo price surge so can be had cheap for someone who wants a step up from the $15 budget version used in the little ones.
dave
