Hi,
I want to use the bms 4594he with a 500hz to 600hz horn.
Most of these horns are 2" throat horns. Jbl etc
Do you think if I use a 1.4 to 2" throat adaptor it would be problematic?

Not for most of the older horn designs for that type of expansion.Do you think if I use a 1.4 to 2" throat adaptor it would be problematic?
That said, if space permits, you might consider using the B&C ME 464 1.4" throat horn, loads well to 300Hz, and 80° x 60° polar pattern all the way down to 500Hz.
Thanks I did consider the ME464 but it's depth is too long.
So I am thinking jbl 2385a but it's a 2" throat. I could just use the bms 4592 but was hoping for a HE version. So that leave me with 1.4" or 1.5" driver.

The JBL 2385a was designed for all the old school drivers (375, 2440, 2445 etc.) that had the equivalent of a 1.4" to 2" built in to the "snout". It will work fine with the usual conical adapters with that expansion rate.
JBL 2381 is of a similar shape and 1.5". Other than that, you've 2352, which is newer and 1.5".
OK yes then I could go with bms 4595he
Edit just looked maybe not as they have higher cut off. The 2358 is 500hz horizontal. The others are higher then this.

If you mean 2352, then it's good to 400Hz, see below:
