yes it makes sense, i went back and using the 12cx/apt50 combo and i find them to do some things very well, i think they have a very good depth perspective, it is like the sound is coming from multiple rows of depth, my seas t18 coaxials simply sounds "flat" in comparison. overall, those 12cx just sounds bigger then t18. 12cx starts to beam early so the tweeter needs to be crossed low in frequency to avoid loosing output around 2k off axis. it sure would be nice to try out a large coaxial driver with perfectly matched lowfreq and highfreq drivers, b&c 12clx64 (with stamped steel basket) seems like one but with a narrow dispersion
