To filter at around 100Hz is exspensive when you want good coils and caps these torobar types have good price performance.
I see you use Intertechnik Audyn caps and Torobar inductors... Quite good.

Birch plywood is great.
When you work precise you can paint it transparent and it looks like veneer. And it has the acoustic behavior you want and it is not extreme heavy.
