I use four drivers per side. It can deliver 105 dB @ 3 meters with less than 0.1% distortion all the way down to 80 Hz. This good enough for me
ah, yup, 4x less moves ! I understand now. Juhazi used a single 12" per side in OB but with a 7 mm Xmax iircc and with a 100 hz low cut off for the midbass.
i was wondering if 80 hz was not too much for a 12" in OB (but if the baffle being a wall), hence my question !

So bigger surface than a single 18", but with less displacement. If the source is good (many digitzl gears have problems in that dpt mostly because power supplies and pcb layouts to be short), the rythmik sessions must be excellent ! At equal mspl magnitude flatness from the speakers, snap, PRAT, are not playbacked the same from a gear vs an other and that matters a lot in my experience ! (never underate the importance of the digital source).
Sorry for the OT, subject closed ! (big surface in the lows is wanted for EQ in OB context)

Given you are on Denmark, and are using an active system, what about using the Purify 8" @ 4ohms?

Big diference in sensibility, but for a home use does it matter?
You would use the amplifier gain to lower the AMT levels, which will also reduce the AMT hiss.
Its a bit more expensive than the other options, but for the price you can get it in Denmark, it may be worth it.
The AE TD10/12 are great options, but you would pay more than 40% in taxes and shipping.

Sorry for not understanding anything of what you are saying here - but I guess the essence is "does it sound good?" My natural answer must be "Yes, of course". 😎
By the way - four 12" have approximately the same cone area as two 18". Displacement is entirely based on Xmax and cone area, and there is no rule of thumb that larger drivers have larger Xmax. That being said - Xmax of the Eminence Delta 12A is quite low at just 2.4 mm. When I play really loud the drivers hardly move, so a low Xmax figure is not a problem here. An open baffle dipole is also more efficient than a closed box in the frequency range I'm using them.
