I guess my favorite tube is the one I'm looking at while enjoying some music.

there is something 'appealing' about 6V6
probably relates to its perfect shape with nice natural 'proportions'

Not really. 6P28 is for TV line output driving. 12E1 was produced as a series pass element for voltage regulator use.
Yeah the 6v6GTs/GTAs/GTY and the older lower voltage "G" types that classy looking coke bottle lol, just sweet looking, because you know the awesome tone hidden inside xD
I am thinking that it is the quintessential shape of a vacuum tube that makes it look so good. It is what one would/might think of immediately when given a pencil and paper and asked to draw a vacuum tube.

I don't think my wife will agree with getting more amps to reduce the gas bill 😛
I should finish the 813/QB2-250 amps to warm up my office though (and keep the kids out...).
The 833 amp in the picture has been upgraded to TB3/2000 outputs some time ago. A lot better looking piece of glass 😎
