are we talking about the same wolverine?
or the honey badger?
Wow.... interesting parameters..... When is the plan to release the finalHere is the Hawksford VAS , no design is like it besides "ye olde Nikko" 70's integrated amp. I hammered subwoofers with it 10 years
ago .... red leds flashed at overload. All forum designs are either bootstrapped/current sourced VFA's - NOT like this.
Edit - It "acts different , as well. THD slowly rises from 4 to 10PPM right up to clip. 4R and 8R are the same ... and the CFA is SO fast that
NFB can correct the class AB output crossover "glitch". 20mA AB bias gives the same THD as the optimal 70-100mA setting.

Gerbers and all else.
CFA is not "magic". As I said , its so fast it can correct output Xover glitch . Also , it responds to back EMF of the speaker plus is VERY tolerant of
very simple comp. I forgot comp on a hellraiser (no caps) , still did not oscillate - ultra low group delay in the FB loop.

The Wolverine was one of the most complex builds for me, most of my previous builds were class A space heaters. While I feel pursuing vanishing low THD not to have that much impact on sound the bass of the Wolverine is much better controlled than some of the simpler class A/B mosfet amps I have built. It is becoming more difficult to design with through hole components and the Wolverine is probably close to the last one that will use them exclusively. I have embraced smd and actually have begone to prefer it.

SMD is just better partz !! FMBM5551 pair that I use for cascodes has just 1-2 hfe variation between the 2 devices (same chip). LTP dual's. NO more matching. P/N HN1B01F Ic-Vce curves are very close. A diamond buffer with this device is a sure low offset circuit.
Cheap Cheap Cheap !! $.45 for any of the duals ! Single VAS SMD are $.50 (2sc3649-sa1419). These also spec better than most to-126's.
Output stages are best left (mostly) through-hole. Not a lot of SMD high voltage choices for power components.

I guess they reel the devices directly wafer by wafer, rather than dump all the through-hole parts in a big bin? Good to know.
I would love to build your amplifier. My amplifier has only a short description.
Ed
Do you have posted somewhere the full build plans.
Bmsluite - Thanks!
My amplifier design has never been published. The closest published design is ostripper's Spooky amp. Both amplifiers are descendants of the Leach amp.
