Yes i have read about Salas jfet phono and i see many good comments but one guestion i guess is not a bit expensive? I'm asking that because i see a lot of work.
It's hard to put a firm price on DIY because there are a lot of options (cases, transformers, snake oil capacitors, etc) that can affect the final price. With care you could build one for less than $200, and it would still outperform most commercial units costing twice as much.
Diy work is free 😀 ,value of Salas is 10x vs commercial stuff .....
Diy's is alway, amp/speakers too , 5-10x $$ value !
PS
Work fine in a peace of wood ,then you can make/buy fine a case
Look Tubecad tube kit is more simply maybe

an option that almost all here are forgetting...
... is a vintage full featured preamp.
Just did a search on flea bay: ARC SP_9 preamp, currently around USD $225 (a nice preamp, methinks...A friend had one and loved it with his Koetsu Black Gold cartridge). previously he had a Sumo Athena. The Sumo was excellent as well (one currently "but me now" for USD$250, our class A solid state design and tough as nails ...very robustly built and long lasting)
Many around for €400.

All true Nanook, and an important suggestion. One still has to be careful, not every vintage preamp had great phono performance, but in that price range most likely did. After all, phono performance wasn't a throw-in back then, it was the reason one would buy a separate preamp vs an integrated amp or receiver.
Also most preamps tended to age well, my one area of concern being noisy or intermittent switches and pots. Those are often difficult or expensive to replace.
And... well this is a DIY site, and I think we ought to encourage folks to DIY.
a used full featured preamp....
I was not making a blanket statement. I do know many still prize the Dynaco PAS2,3, and 4 preamps (including the phono stages), but like any, they may have to be rebuilt. Currently I use a CMLabs 301 MOSFET preamp as a phono-stage. It is absolutely quiet and good sounding. I know there are many others to consider.
Not necessarily. One needs to know the taper , etc if a volume control (for example). There are equivalents (or far better ones) available inexpensively. Consider something like the PEC audio taper pots as a more modern upgrade for a bad volume control (the stereo version). In put switches can still be had, relatively inexpensively as well. Often even "sealed" units can be opened up and cleaned.
Not disagreeing with you. And anjump123's suggestion is not a bad suggestion at all. I was under the impression the OP was not too technically inclined. I wish there were other sources for reviews of the BugleII. Most on the Hagerman site are comparing (at best) mediocre phono stages (NAD, Project, etc...) to the BugleII.
So for the money, perhaps a good sounding kit is the way to go...

avoid the Dynacos...
I am assuming that any Dynaco preamp would require a complete rebuild (less the iron).

anybody here familiar with Akitika?
I saw these in another thread. They will sell you their Akitika a phono stage, already built for only USD $74.00! Add a power supply ( 12VDC-18VDC, as simple as a small SLA 12V battery and "trickle" charger) and you have a phono stage. Or just get a robust prebuilt linear supply if you can find one (old computers have very robust 300 Watt power supplies...easy to salvage and usually "free").
If half of what has been said about these products (the Akitika kits and products) and absolute no brainer.

not necessarily
There are so many options it is nauseating..
The Hagerman Bugle2
The Salas (here on diyaudio.com)
Akitika
Boozehound
the Aikido PH-1
And a completely prebuilt one that I completely forgot about (and within budget) the Lounge Audio transformer based phono stage..., If you need something for a moving coil, just get Copla later. (IIRC the OP was wanting something to work through MM carts before the MC route)
After that the world is your oyster...seek out whatever you wish. There really are so many that I could probably fill a book.

Thank you Nanook for the suggestions, i like when i see people who knows what they want and what they do that means character and strongly personality from these people can learn many things and thank you for that.It seems to know what it means analog.
Also guys i want to thank you for your valuable help.

But there really are so many options, we (as in folks here at diyaudio) could fill volumes of suggestions (literally). I would suggest if DIY, then something that is as complete with all parts, good PCBs, etc would be a smart thing to do. I have a local friend that can help me build almost anything, so I can get away with a lot. If you have no local help, a pre-built phono stage or a very complete kit is the way to go.
A lot of the suggestions made to you do make a lot of sense.

The Salas is a really nice phono. It is well documented and can be built with economical parts or you can go wild with naked foils and fancy caps. Just make sure you've got some distance from the supply to keep the noise floor down. Toroid quality also plays a factor. You can also tailor it to your system - hearing desires. 🙂
I know nothing....
...well maybe enough to be dangerous...
mike (damuffin) has built the Salas and likes it. Not sure if it is set up for MM and MC, but if so could be a single phono stage that you could keep for a very long time and be very happy with.
