update

so i got a new ps1 lcd. the third lcd lol

i ordered a 240mm fujion lens today

i got somewhat of a reflector

the first pic just shows how the projector looks now and the reflector. the lcd isnt in right now because i need to make a bracket for it

this is where my lcd and fresnels will go. the frenels are right on the lcd.

the fujion lens i ordered has 240mm focal length.

so if my calculations are right than my lens should go at 9.5 inches

some testing

sooo i did some testing on my whole setup.

the setup is like this

light-4in-lexan-1cm-fresnel-lcd-fresnel-11in fresnel

i know these images really suck but that is because i am using a warped fresnel as a foucusing lens. i am also using a pc cam to take the pictures.

all of those pictures were at about 48in

so looking at it i see that the brightness is pretty good. im happy about tthat.

If you ordered it from Surplus Shed they haven't had Fujinon 240mm Copy lenses for over 6months and from what I have heard don't expect to be getting anymore.

i finally got my new lens. the projector is now working pretty good. only thing that i dont like is that the corners are a little dark.

but i think that is because my setup is ghetto

im watching dr doolittle right now.

i am going to attemt to take pictures

i bought a triplet from one of the members here

im going to post some picture with my crappy pc cam and maybe tommorrow i will have photos with a different camera
