Ok. That’s not going to work. Don’t plug it in again. I’ll have a PSU solution for you shortly.

One thing I am confused about is that if it is a power supply issue, why was it working just fine prior to changing R14 for more gain? I probably listened to 7-10 LPs with before deciding to increase the output.

It wasn’t working properly.
You may have been getting something, but with about half normal supply voltage and ground not really there and the circuit just floating around, it was spring loaded to fail messily.

Ok. While maybe not the news I wanted but very helpful nonetheless. Before wasting any more people’s time here then, I will build Wayne’s PSU properly and go from there. Thanks again.
@mannytheseacow , the sample PS in the original Pearl 2 article has a missing ground connection. This one from 6L6's build thread has the correction:
