... it was an effort to eliminate resonances from the cabinet materials....

good point ;)

built a crappy proto, and now being punished with this rework job :clown:

front is sorted, and decided to look at the cabinet back
first step, to make the woofer hole slightly bigger, and improve edge shape

big heavy woofer, and I wanted to support the chassis, taking some load off the screws

working inside a limited space, new circle router tool needed
and then some work with file and sandpaper :eek::D

need to consider speaker cable connector
noticed a speakon which also accept a 1/4" jack
but I dont know much about this

btw, theres a really nasty ressonance when talking into cabinet
but if inserting a small bucket into the hole, it disappears
which also ought to happen with the woofer mounted

need to work on front baffle design now
