Hallo,
returning, after months, on the choice of preamp. Does unbalanced BOZ is a good pre for Aleph 30? It's a simple and cheap pre...And, reading opinion, it should sounds good. Suggestion?
In alternative I start with balanced BOSOZ.
The couple will drive Klipsch Heresy III

it mostly depends which sort of sound you prefer - with BOZ , being SE , you'll get warmer sound than with balanced BOSOZ

later one being also more detailed

only your ears can decide

Listening comparison between BOZ e BOSOZ it is not possible...
Warmer sound may be better.
Should be intresting know the building costs (without case): cost of BOZ Vs cost of BOSOZ

main cost is always in hardware - case , connectors , xformer

difference in xformer cost isn't big between these two , while case etc. are the same

so , difference is few electronic parts , no biggie
