The ones I swapped were 1k resistors. The last pair in the signal path.
R104
R204
I never tried higher than 18v. I bet it starts to get overdamped sounding.

Guys I've trawled this thread a million times, and can't find the info I saw a few weeks ago.

Good information, thanks 🙂
Wonderful chassis for the price. Even more fascinating is getting a piece of history with a NABU Adaptor. The ideas for set-top boxes and the Internet years before society was ready for them.

Is it okay to remove R1 (1 ohm) and C1 (15000uF) from the B1 layout?
By the way, I'm using battery power (two 9V's), so the noise rejection is not an issue.

I hate asking these questions, but on nelson's B1 pdf for the schematic, it shows that R1 is just 1 @ 3watt, is that a 1 ohm @ 3watt ?

It's better than not asking. You may help others that are too shy or those that are unwilling to cop to not knowing. Humility is good for everyone.
Merry Christmas,

I'll just go ride my

This is probably a stupid question, but what the hell, I'm kind of the village idiot around here anyhow, so here goes...
Is it possible (and simple) to add a second set of outputs to the B1?

I have to agree with NP. (that was AWESOME!)
Basically you need extra holes, extra jacks, and to run extra wire in parallel from the existing outputs to the new ones...
Might require a drill...
😎
You know, I figured it was THAT simple, and debated posting my question for the better part of an hour as I scanned this thread for clues.
Thanks for the answer, as you probably guessed, this and the F5 will be my first rodeo.

All, Did we come to a consensus to modify the values of R102, R104, R202 & R204 from 1K to 221ohm for improved sound? Thanks, Tom

I thought i would post some pictures of my B1 Case, ( for now ) Till i can afford the one i really want.
This case was built for me 4 years ago, it lived in a padded box, the metal came from a old recycled sign that is why it still has the reflective material on it, i will remove it off soon 🙂
I have ordered my self a nice hand full of gold Rca connectors 18 flip switches the nice 10uf caps, ( cheap ones for now till i can afford a set that are 60$ ) a nice 25K noble pot from ebay and i have a nice 18V regulated laptop psu ill use for now till i build one.
Noble pot was 19$ on ebay for a 25k one, there is one left from the seller.
