They are very different. I thought you were referring to the 200 ASC boards.
The 125ASX2 is a lower powered stereo board. The 200ASC is a higher powered mono board. Here are links to the data sheets so you can compare them.

Thanks. So in the datasheet the 125ASX2 are slightly more efficient, but what about the overall performance in terms of sound. Do you have any experience with this? I'm trying to decide whether i should go for 2x 125ASX2 or 2x 200ASC monoblocks.
I've never used the 125ASX2 but I have used the 200ASC and it sounds great to me.
Bel Canto and Jeff Rowland both use the 200ASC in high end amplifiers that they make. I can't think of a better sound quality endorsement than that.

🙂 I asked the Russian dealer about the same.
He said asx2 specs is better, but then said that never listened asc (200asc is $190 here).
2*50asx2se ($100 ea here) should be delivered next week and Steve's 200asc's later (mysterious Russian post.. 😡).
Sometime I'll compare.. 🙄

Unexpected fast delivery 😱 - modules sent 11.04 and was here 11.13 (new local custom terminal is here - so parcels go directly to Eburg not lie around in Moscow for some weeks 🙂 ).
Now I need connectors and time..

Congrats..! and post your build... 🙂
Hi Ojojunkie,
Looking at your unit, is that a buffer input stage connected to the icepower modules and what is its input impedance? Or is that a single ended to balanced converter module? I've ordered a pair of ghent audio RTX unbalanced to balanced module hoping that a balanced signal going into the ice modules would sound better. I only have single ended source.

Tubo,
I doubt the unbalanced to balanced adapter will affect the sound. But please let us know if you find otherwise.

will definitely let you know. I've was using them with oppo bdp103d as the source and using its internal vol control and i didn't like it. I find that these amps are happier driven by with a preamp that has gain compared to just a buffer stage with vol control.
comments will be greatly appreciated

Hi Tubo,
It's the original input board by cary CAA 1 amp. I'm not sure if it has buffer in the circuit. Back of the amp has both rca & xlr inputs with toggle switch selector.
Input impedance:
RCA = 100k ohms
XLR = 200k ohms
hi Ojojunkie,
Thank you for the response. They probably have the buffer stage since the input impedance was raised to 100k. Stock they are only 10k.
What preamp do you use if you don't mind me asking. Ive been contemplating on building a buffered vol control like the pass b1 or building a tube preamp.
regards,

Hi Tubo,
I have a matching preamp CPA1, as pictured below.
I haven't paired it yet with my other other preamps, but all are SS.

Hey Steve, the paper in the box with the Digikey part no's for the connectors was accidentally "misplaced" into the trash by my lovely wife.....
Any chance you could post them or send me a copy of it?
Thanks!!
