$150 each purchase from ?The ESS AMT Large Heil is on sale now for $150 each.
I own 4 pairs. I use them every day. I second VaNarn's recommendation. The rated sensitivity is 96DB per speaker.

Thks
I’ll keep the ESS ones in mind, but the so called $150 ones don’t seem to be available anywhere anymore.
The last deal was a recent Black Friday special. Get onto the mailing list and hopefully there will be another chance turning up soon.

This is on the site now. Maybe they sold out and haven't removed the add but, the purchase quantity counter is active.
This is their sale site for parts, etc.

a 1" throat ring radiator compresion driver on a well designed horn. For 5kHz it would be very small you could 3D print one or use a 3D printing service.
Along the same lines, I can’t find any of the Fostex super tweeters like the T90A anywhere except ebay 🙁
I have a new pair of Beyma TPL-150 tweeters I'll sell. Bought them a couple years ago for a build and never did it. Need to clean house. They're new in the box, but mine are not the "H" version (no waveguide). If you're interested send a PM, I'll sell the pair for $700 plus shipping. Shipping to CA shouldn't be crazy.
Thanks for the offer - I will think about it but I do prefer H version (i know, i'm getting picky now) hahaI have a new pair of Beyma TPL-150 tweeters I'll sell. So a bit of an update, for the sake of experimentation, I quickly swapped in a pair of Fostex FT17H I had kicking around which are around 98db in the range I will be using them in, it's very close to good - much more natural sounding compared to the CP21f, It's just that even with the padding resistors taken out, it can't match the sensitivity of the rest of the system. I'll have to do a proper FR and Z measurment and rework the crossover to get the most out of this.
So this leads me to think that maybe a Fostex T90A which seems to have a similar response at a much higher sensitivity might be the one to look for.

UPDATE #2 using the Fostex FT17H: So I updated the crossover, I was getting a lot of broadband attenuation from from the first inline capacitor, now this tweeter more than keeps up with the rest of the system.... and achieves the goal of sounding better than the CP21F... for a price of $0 spent... lol
I'm almost a bit disappointed I didn't get to buy a cool new tweeter lol

I have tried 2405, Fostex 925, and ESS AMT1 with a pair of JBL 2441+2397.MF: JBL 2445J + 2380A horn
LF: Eminence Delta Pro12A
LF x MF @800hz
Amplification: Elekit TU8200R SE tube amp (8w/ch)
Primary listening material: Psych rock, EDM, Jazz, Pop
The character of the AMT is just not the same as horn.
The 925 is very smooth but also very narrow beam. A few inches left and right is very noticeable.
2405 is the best match, very similar character.
Second on that ESS Heil recommendation. Great drivers on sale now I believe for like half price too!
Do they have fixed their quality control problem at Hivi and Aurum Cantus ? New units of the two tweeters talked above are said to have bad concistency fab while spreaded for the Hivi's likes on market into different iterations at Dayton, Monacor, Beston : same plant! Myths ?
@markbakk , vertical directivity or also off-axis ?
