Does anyone have any OB plans for this little driver? Or at least a helpful OB link and calc?
My SB project broke on me and I want a quick and easy temp replacement.
Bass isnt an issue, these are going to be rear surrounds.

As big as you can live with... they will be excursion limited, but with a big enuff baffle could still hit 100Hz.

PS: where in BC?
Let me reword this, what is the thinnest baffle I can get away with? An online calc or something might help me visualize.
For use as rear surrounds, driver placed probably 4-5 ft up the baffle. (baffle is the speaker stand idea)
I have the BS curcuit from my now-busted box which is a 8ohm with 2.2mH. I don't want to rewind this if I can avoid it, so is it acceptable to mash that into whatever baffle i make or are the calcs to precise to get away with that?
I am not that fussy, they are just rear surrounds.
I am sure OB is simpler than I am making it. Just want to cross my t's and dot my i's.
Kelowna area. It's cooooooolllldddddd!

You probably want to consider wings then....

Kelowna area.
I've a good buddy in Kelowna. He's into hifi, but i haven't fully lured him into DIY yet.

Here is a preliminary design. I reverse-engineered (of sorts) the step compensation to reflect my current parts then, adjusted the baffle size and driver placement for the best compromise. Seems ok to me, I'm not critiquing opera on this set after all.
Oh, here is the nice program I (finally) found to let me do this without getting a headache:
