Audiotek on ebay...

Like many of you, I got some of the stuff I bought from audiotek.
Some usable stuff which works, some may end up as just 'parts'.

I was pretty unsuspecting- in many ways. One incorrect assumption was that there would be some documentation (either printed on the pcb or on paper) so that I could actually build the 'kits'. Too late, I discovered that audiotek was selling the documentation in his store! Now the stores are shut down, of course.

So, to the point:
Does anybody have info on the CUTIE Mini regulator power supply board, or the remote volume and input selector boards? These are diyzone boards, but I can't navigate to any useful info there, using the translated versions of the website.

If there is anybody else 'in the same boat' perhaps a new thread would be appropriate?

Live and learn! In my case it was not a great deal of money at stake.
I try to remember that 99% of all the eBay sellers (and buyers) I've dealt with have been honest and reliable. Some days, that's difficult.

Cheers
John

Yes, maybe a different thread would be useful. To add a reply to your posting, I'm in the same boat re: documentation for building the kits. Doing Google searches for these products, I located eBay cached-search feedback listings. From these, I identified buyers of the kits I bought, and reached out to them for some assistance and got some friendly help. I also found a thread on this forum about the headphone amp. Yeah, working with the Chinese diyzone site I also found to be pretty tough.

I also recieved some things and not others. The quality and price of what I got was all great. No complaints there. People who've built the kits seem to like them quite a bit.

I've got claims into PayPal and my credit card company for the things I haven't gotten from AudioTek. So far, I've received a full refund on one of them.

SJ-
Thanks for the reply.
I figured out the input selector board pretty quickly- so cross that one off the list.

I'll start a new thread later, to see if anybody can help with the volume/cutie boards.

Are you sure of that? Audiotek was selling lots of kits, and I don't see any from this seller.
Perhaps they will be added later?
Even the photography style is completely different from most of the audiotek ads I have saved.
It may just be part of the 'business plan' ??

AUDIOTEK has risen like the PHOENIX!!!!!!!!!!

I am convinced now that THIS IS AudioTek as they are starting to bring out all the Nichicon KG units (10000/63V & 6800/35V & 4700/100V) that the ******* never delivered to me as well as the selection of tubes, equipment feet, wima capacitors, toshiba transistors etc.

It is TOO Coincidental that this Ebay entity buys 1 token thing years ago and suddenly weeks after the death of the AudioTek Empire is shutdown, this Albert CLOWN has all the same items with fancy new photos and different sales tatics!!!

The Phoenix has risen under SAAAVVVYAudio and now Albert Audio Store banners!!!!

What next???? Samaurai HIFI Store!! LOL!!!!

I will behave...

I am NOT really mad as I just don't believe it's ethical to do what the owner of AudioTek(s) did to many people and start over and as they "history repeats itself".

I will keep an eye on them to ensure they don't misbehave....

These stores always begin well and then get greedy/lazy and become deceitful and then EBay shuts them down....

Sorry about the lanuage.....

He should have delivered goods for about 250 Euro which I never received. I am pretty sure he won't reply email on the subject anymore ( as before ). It started with a few deals going well and then he got me with a big order.

So I guess you are just lucky.

Agreed but some products are only available from small chinese/taiwanese companies. I never bought anything via Ebay though. I always do business directly as I do not like the Ebay system.

This company seemed OK and service was OK. I received replacement goods promptly when something wasn't up to my wishes without any complaints or delaying from their side.

It suddenly stopped. Probably an internal affair.

sudden service stops...

usually is a sign that something is "not quite right in the state of Denmark" (MacBeth?)

I guess it depends on what one might consider an acceptable risk. I'm simply too poor to risk anything...

Having said that, I've had extremely good luck on ePay. Hope all gets worked out (or has already been)

OMG!!!! 3 months after the fact....some of my parts arrived today!!!!!

I feel bad for slamming them.... but over 3 months to arrive!!

The items that arrived were not covered under my PayPal as it was past 45 days....when AudioTek was shut down.

The box was in tatters as Canada Post had to repackage the box but they seem to be in good shape.

I am still in shock OMG!!!!!!!! lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!
