Audiotek on ebay...

What have you been doing to AudioTek to deserve that treatment?

Please think before you post. I resent any insinuation that WE did anything to him (other than report the facts here)!

All I did is bid on an item, win the auction and then pay quickly! No threats or nasty emails were made(and I'm sure the same can be said for several others here).

And at least we didn't bargain with the thief, promising to post favorably for him on the boards!

You are getting a lot of bad publicity on the DIY Audio Forum... Do this right & I shall post the good news on the DIYaudio forum.

NEVER! That would practically make one his partner!

Just count yourself lucky-You got the upper hand(this time). He must've just shipped yours before he was shut down (and can't use that account anymore to collect)!

Respectfully (please),

-Chas

If it is luck we are talking about, then it is also possible to think that they had an employee that decided to run off with (some or all) the merchandise on his way to the post office and did it for a week before they realized it.

This second parcel was posted on 17 Feb.
I wonder if it is something to do with my complaint that they had packaged the mosfets in an ordinary plastic envelope. Which I did report to this Forum.
They sent the two 10uF MKT that I bid for, along with 8 replacement FETs and four more Nichicon caps, but FW(M).

They seem to be a subsidiary of
Schuyler Technology CO LTD.

I would take the chance again, if they dont ship there is paypal protection, dont agree? Dont buy, unless you think its your mission as ebay police.
I appreciate these forums warning people of scams, but jesus you people are insane, relax a little bit

For those who don't know,Paypal protection only apply if:
The seller's eBay feedback rating is at least 50,and at least 98% of the seller's eBay feedback is positive.
So beware you insane people :clown:

You write like you have some knowledge of the seller...or is this some kind of wild guess? To my knowledge the seller only stated that their "account was stolen".

Hmmmm.... I've heard that name before:

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=105217

So maybe they haven't just had bad luck the last 6 months!

I can't help but wonder where he could "fence" all those stolen DIY goodies! :clown:

That was in reference to the comment of being lucky. And it is a wild guess. I have no knowledge who runs the company. I just discovered early on that their kits were diyzone (meaning good stuff) stuff and that's why I purchased stuff from them. I even got a couple of those gigantic PEH169 22000 uf capacitors and a ladder balanced stepped potentiometer (never seen them elsewhere) before they ran out.

That's one honest scammer. Sent a package after the store is shut down by ebay. Who would have thought! 🙂

Please don't confuse honesty with perseverence!

Remember that they continued to operate, after audiotek168 was closed, under the names "Yu-home", "Mobile6699", "Diyjapan" and now "hsuan05".

Perhaps they really wanted that "good publicity" posted here, since their own attempts were thwarted (remember audio.dream's post here a while back?) !

Anyway, I got my money back and I wish the rest of you good luck!

I've gotta say I was lucky this time-
Paypal refunded each of my 5 claims over the weekend. 😎

I thought Paypal only refunds a maximum of 3 claims per calendar year.

from "PayPal Buyer Protection Policy and Buyer Complaint Policy"
https://www.paypal.com/al/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_buyer_complaint-outside

4 - Claims. (b)

"No More Than Three Claims Awarded Per Year. Buyers are limited to receiving no more than three PayPal Buyer Protection claim payouts per calendar year. Each listing in a multiple-item payment is considered a separate claim award. After a buyer reaches the award limit, he or she may file additional claims under PayPal's standard Buyer Complaint Process. Recovery of funds, however, will not be guaranteed under the Buyer Complaint Process and 'significantly not-as-described' items are covered only on eBay items.

If a buyer reaches the award limit while another PayPal Buyer Protection claim remains pending, that claim will automatically revert to coverage under the standard Buyer Complaint Process."

I paid more than 10 individual Paypal payments between Jan 14 and Feb 10 to audiotek168, audiotek968 & hu6073.
I initiated chargebacks on all of them at my bank today. Did I do right? I dunno 🙁

I'm not so good in English, but as I can understand Paypal award three claims only if you buy outside Ebay.Am I right?

Who is genuine Audiotek seller now?

Well, they said it best themselves :

"AudioTek? It's only a virtual shop in ebay, not a company..."

To the best of my knowledge, the company is actually known as "Schuyler Technology CO LTD." , and the listed principal is a Mr. Li Min Wu. Also, in the past, a Vickie Hu has done business for/with him. They've appeared on eBay using the various usernames listed above.

Hope this helps to clarify things.

hu6073 did not bid on anything in the last 30 days which is all the records available.

Anyway, isn't this all pointless now that audiotek168, audiotek968, diy-japan, hu6073 are no longer registered.

This continued posting and reposting of the same information and speculation is getting boring.

Can we please keep to one thread (this one?).

For what it's worth, I still have not received anything from hu6073, despite it being listed as dispatched, and have now started a Paypal claim.

Also

Vickie.hu changed her name in the last 30 days

User ID Effective Date End Date

vickie.hu 11-Feb-09 Present

zhuce2944 12-Oct-08 11-Feb-09

Obviously, more shill bidding and scams were / are planned !

Folks -- if your PayPal claims don't recover all your funds, contact your credit card company and initiate a chargeback. I have had to do this, and it worked out fine in the end. ALWAYS use a credit card to fund PayPal purchases, else you have very little protection. Good luck!
