Hi, do you know any Linux programs that convert PCM to DSD on the fly? HQ Player can do this but costs $$$. Foobar can do it but its Windows only. I can play DSD files in Cantata to my USB board, but cant play PCM files.
JRiver MC also does on the fly conversion to DSD. Linux version available but costs approx $35
DIYINHK USBtoI2SWhat board is that?

I am taking DSD directly off the board and passing through LPF to get analogue. No DAC involved. My PC will send PCM to the board just fine, but you can't decode PCM this way!!
OK thanks. I am using HQ Player (eval version) with Windows right now and it sounds nice, converting PCM to DSD128. And dsd files sound brilliant. But HQ Player is a bit more expensive (AUD 183). I will try JRiver as well.JRiver MC also does on the fly conversion to DSD. Linux version available but costs approx $35
