Audio Innovations 500 output transformer

Suppose someone built an entirely new straight stereo power amp using an all-new circuit and only the 3 original Series 500 trafos, mains and 2 OPTs. Suppose said amp included a CRPS/choke regulated power supply ala the Border Patrol upgrade (with glowing reviews?)

Compared to stock how would members quantify the potential performance upgrade in a state-of-the art system? Are the original S500 trafos worth such cost and effort?

What is such amp's approximate maximum power? (More power is better in this application, even driving true 96 dB satellite speakers.) Which input tube(s) and quantity of each? Output tubes? (The main amp in this system drives only satellites with natural roll off between 80 and 90 Hz. Two 950W sub amps/EQ/XO driving 4 subs in a distributed array handle the 2 lowermost octaves in seamless and transparent fashion. The main amp reproduces only above about 80 Hz.)

Thanks!

Compared to a well-running mostly stock early Series 500 (with the obvious bugs fixed,) please speculate about the expected performance from an all-new straight power amp with all-new circuitry. Suppose the only OEM S500 parts in said power amp were the early original mains trafo and two OPTs in excellent condition. Suppose the amp could employ a choke (trafo) regulated PS ala the well-received Border Patrol upgrade for Series 500. And suppose the amp used the best tubes for each application. What's the most power one might expect and using which output tubes? What input and/or driver tubes?

Said amp would reproduce only the range above 80 to 90 Hz now and forever. Said amp's input DC filter cap value would high-pass filter @ 80 Hz. All speakers are satellites 94 dB or higher w/easy to moderate phase angle, 8-ohm or higher, ported, rolling off naturally between 80-90 Hz to a state-of-the-art distributed bass array with Dr. David Greisinger's phase quadrature tuning powered by two 950W sub amps with EQ and XO.

Please post the proposed circuit or an approximation thereof if it's available.

Many thanks!
