ASR Shafer Emitter 1 and 2

wow....nice
i was searching on that site but obviously not good enough...thank You phase_accurate

🙂

if any others they will be welcomed also.. 😀

thanks for all of you - nice response on some very well known good quality amplifiers.....
IGEL was my dream to buy for many years....now i have the schematic - can't believe it - this is similar like somebody will tell me that i will have the sch for the Emitters in few years..... 😀
so you can imagine how happy i am.....🙂
thanks again

Another one for the list : T+A, Pulsar series.
(on par with Schäfer & Rompf products)
Would be nice to have the Pulsar A3000 schematic.

There was also a manufacturer called Fidelity that used the opamp input approach, such as the Fidelity Topas and the monaural Sarder.
Not to confuse with the esoteric Japanese amp company Fidelix, i think Mr Gaincard got the inspiration for his sloppy GC work from looking inside the full Class A 25 watts 2B-4 [bridged design: 2B-4 = two be four, Japanese humor]

T+A - off course - man, i forgot about them....perfect - they were nice sounding also but i did not found any of their schematics especially not the Pulsar series... but either way i would rather have ASR amplifier 🙂)

Jacco btw. i asked You if You can send me that sch you have mentioned from Günther Mania's ..... please if it is possible - thanks

we have started so nicelly to post german high quality amplifiers...
despite that this is a thread about ASR concept amplifier that have opamp at the input i want to ask this

DOES ANYBODY HAVE SOME OTHER SCHEMATICS FROM THOSE HIGH QUALITY GERMAN MANUFACTURERS...maybe something from AVM or Burmester or any other.....as long it is high quality german school of building amps........

so that we put them together in this thread.....
any input that can offer high quality amps schematics is very welcome....

regards
daniel

Anecdotal observation: some of the worst sounding "audiophile" systems i've heard were built around German amps, often Burmester. I wonder what other's experience is.

I second that.

I remember blasting away a cost-no-object Burmester rig in the eighties with a small Rotel Amp in demos... Shiny crap for yuppies.
But the Abacus amp looks at least interesting - but I have never heard it.

Does buying a Full Chrome job Burmester 838 and 846 secondhand count as Shiny Sheet Yup ?
Must be, Rotel manufactures pleb amps. Damn, i was a yuppie and never knew it.

Oh well, on with the show : a shot of the voltage gain and driver stage of the Emitter integrated and one of my fav. Phily BD guys in the middle. And a servo opamp for free.
(2 times 2SJ79/2SK216, $2.50 each in the US)

i have also heard that Power Conditioner from Burmester was not "that" good....but again, i have never heard it....maybe one day....

but i have heard AVM evolution - small integrated amplifier - MAAANNNN.... it was working on Audio Physic Spark speakers .... it was something to remember....🙂

jacco - i have found that picture - the best picture to see what is inside....well, not that we see a lot... but at least we can see that it has those drivers and BD's inside....

oh man... i don't know anymore....a lot of schematics and a lot of opinions....i have to build something from it to know for sure......
:xeye: 🙂

At a high-end show they once demoed a large Burmester system (using the B97) with loud orchestral music. It sounded as annoying as it would have with a cheap stereo. Could still be the recording's fault - who knows. But live orchestral music doesn't have this annoying "quality" even if very loud.

If you have the opportunity to peek inside Burmester equipment please do so. It is really jaw-dropping. Even from the inside this stuff looks as it was built for the NASA, the army and a design museum at once.

well, this does not have anything to do with this thread but i still have to say it - few years ago i was listening to Mark Levinson / Revel system....it was really something - really something else that i was use to - on a positive side.....

also (as i have said) i have listened AVM integrated amp witrh Audio Physic Spark speakers - also really really good sounding....

well, i have seen how Burmester is looking inside - state of the art.... unfortunatelly i do not know about the sound 🙂

we all know that a perfect system is well tuned system not expensive system.... maybe something was wrong with those Burmesters reagrding tuning of the rest of the system - i don't know......i would not like that we start telling that Burmester is a bad company - i doubt that (maybe they are to expensive for the quality - i don't know that too)...

😀 🙂
