A Quick Start Guide if you will.
I am using Windows 7.0 with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and a calibrated XLR Mic.
All I want to do is make gated/nongated sweeps like I do with REW in dual channel mode and make polar plots.
I can load a mic cal file, but I cannot figure out how to calibrate the sound card.
When I do a sweep, it seems to start at 800Hz for some reason.
The manual is almost 200 pages and covers many things I don't need and will never use.
HELP!
(Why not continue to use REW? I am making an automated turntable to that requires ARTA)

Arta Steps user manual has 51 pages, and soundcard output and input channel calibration is described on pages 19 and 20.
...dual channel mode...
...but I cannot figure out how to calibrate the sound card.
You've probably read this document. That does not contain a word about calibration of sound card. Why? Because ARTA uses cross-correlation function in dual channel mode with sine sweep and periodic noise so calibration of sound card is not needed assuming that channels are equal (as good or bad). The result is probably more wrong if you create some compensation for sound card and include it to mic calibration file.
Loopback example with my test Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd gen.

Can most tweeters handle a 2.83v full ARTA sweep?
How do you calibrate the dB in ARTA? I have a decent SPL meter.
^No damages with common hifi domes so far though excursion might look really bad at LF. White periodic noise is safer than sweep so it's good option for domes and small mids.
SPL calibrator is quite easy, but procedure is still inconvenient for continuous use. Never calibrated with SPL meter. Maybe I don't start to copy-paste from manual. I have CLIO to skip all that.

Would something like work as an active XO for tweeter protection?
Rolls Tiny 2-Way Crossover (SX21): Amazon.ca: Musical Instruments, Stage & Studio
And then just use a splitter on the output with one to the amp and one back to the soundcard right in?

Perhaps I would be better off to just buy this premade ARTA Box,
ARTA-Box - Ingenieurburo Grafe
Will it allow me to place (and will it work correctly) a capacitor (for tweeter protection) between the poweramp speaker output and the Arta box speaker input to work like this?
